File Preparation for self designed files.

The preferred file type is PDF.

If absolutely neccesary we can accept JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF, EPS, and PNG.

When sending a PDF make sure all fonts are outlined and files are flattened.

All files must be at least 300 dpi or there will be resolution issues.

The proper color mode for files is CMYK. Make sure if you want pure black that all blacks in your file are at 100% K.

Most files will need a “BLEED” if the background is not white. Below is an example of how to set up a business card. The BLACK line is where the background must extend to. It is called the “BLEED”. The RED line is the cut line, the actual cut size of the item. Anything important must be within the BLUE line which is the SAFETY line. A business card is 3.5″ x 2″ in size when finished. With a bleed on all four corners you start with a file dimension of 3.625″ x 2.125″.
